Hello to
everyone!
Mom
asked me to do a guest blog for her today because, lets face it, I'm the best
daughter in the world and she knows I can rock a blog.
This
past weekend Mr. & Mrs. D made the six hour trip to our little Chicago
suburb to celebrate a late Christmas with our family. The second Grandma & Grandpa walked in
the door, Liam was asking about opening presents- the one-track mind of a 5
year old, welcome to my world people. Morgan warmed up quickly and we were off
and running.
We ate
lunch, chatted and made apple pie. After
Brian arrived home from work we opened presents- everything was a hit! (Thank you G&G & Uncle Tom & Aunt Laura!) Later we gorged on duck, ham, rolls, sweet
potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn and wine.
Grandma
taught Liam how to make hot chocolate by warming chocolate milk in the
microwave. Liam & Grandpa snuggled
and watched a movie. Morgan was
everywhere and into everything, entertaining Grandma & Grandpa as usual.
But our
favorite and most memorable part of the weekend was the kids introducing
Grandma to Fish Farts. It is an app that
has fish swimming across your screen and when you tap them they make various
farting sounds and are propelled forward.
I don't care who you are, farts are funny, especially to kids and,
apparently, Grandmas.
The kids
were introduced to this game by one of my friends and it has served to keep
them busy and entertained in the car, at the mall and numerous other places
over the past week. By the time we had
finished our doughnut breakfast on Sunday, I had downloaded Fish Farts Kids on
Grandmas phone, which I'm sure Mr. D is just thrilled with me for. ;-)
I know
on their ride home they had a gas!
Happy
Monday!
-Liz
