I used to be a
morning person. In an effort to get back to getting up a bit earlier and
making the most of that time I have joined HelloMornings. I have
copied and pasted information from the HelloMornings website below.
"The HelloMornings challenge
was birthed to encourage Christian women toward the life-giving habit of
waking up early to spend time with God before the chaos of the day begins. The
first challenge formed back in August 2010 and has grown to a movement of
over 4500 women, with almost 200 volunteer leaders.
Challenges typically run over 13-weeks and we
provide Facebook and Twitter-based accountability groups, as well as a free
Bible study. The challenge is not a competition to see who can get out of bed
earliest, and it is not a pursuit of perfection. It is simply a venue for
accountability for you to make the most of the quiet and renewal each morning
provides."
I am new to this but from what I have read you
can do what the group is doing (looks like a study of the book of John), or do
your own study. The main goal is getting up early to spend some time with
God and connecting with those in your group for accountability.
If you are interested in joining, check out the
www.hellomornings.org website and find a group that fits you.
My day always starts better when I have had some
quiet time with God first, rather than rushing into my day.
Hope you can join in!
(P.S. If you haven't signed up for my
giveaways in my previous blog, the deadline is tonight!)
Thanks Barb for sharing. I do my COLE's prayer team in the morning, but devotional time is always good!
