Around the Water Cooler

You always hear about interesting work conversations occurring around the water cooler.   At my work, at least this last week, they occurred around the fish tank. 

Here's a conversation that took place at work last Thursday on my afternoon break.   


Be ready to be wowed.

Me:  "You know Willow, if you had another  'i' instead of an 'o' in your name, your name would be spelled the same forwards and backwards.  Or you could have another 'o' instead of an 'i'.  You could be Williw or Wollow."

I looked at Willow.  She was not amazed.  

Me:  "You probably really don't care, do you?"

Then I glanced at Bob in his tank.  

Bob:  "Hey, MY name is the same forward and backward - B-O-B." 

Me:  "And so it is Bob! So it is."  


(Bob was pretty proud of himself.)

Me:  "And Belle - if we added a 'b' to the end of your name YOUR name would be the same spelled forward and backward too and you would be Belleb!"

Belle didn't look impressed by this revelation either.  

You may envy my dress code.   

You may envy the fact that I wear slippers at work

You may envy my commute.

But I'm guessing your envy stops there.

So.....what's going on in the real world?
