2012 in Review

Here's a review of what happened in our lives in 2012:

 

 

 

We found out we would be welcoming another grandchild

 

 

 

Belle got her back yard fenced in and ran like crazy

 

 

 

We upgraded our kitchen

 

 

 

We redid our living room as well

 

 

 

Michael left Hy-Vee after decades of working there

 

 

 

In the spring with Michael's weekends free we traveled like crazy:

 

 

 

Nebraska

 

 Duluth

 

 Illinois

 

 Nebraska

 

 (a weekend home - sigh)

 

 then back to Illinois

 

 

Belle was tired of the "spa" by this point...

 

We were just plain tired

 

 

 

 

The neighborhood block parties continued - and we met new people in the 'hood

 

 

 

 

We found out our new grandchild was actually going to be 2 grandchildren

 

 

 

 

Michael got a new job that he loves

 

 

 

Barb got a new job a week later and loves the change as well

 

 

 

We became the proud owners of a Little Free Library

 

 

 

Elliot and Finnley joined our family (on my birthday!)

 

 

 

We adopted another basset, Willow, from a basset rescue

 

 

 

While life is crazy at times we know how truly blessed we are and are so thankful for our family and friends.  

 

 

We hope 2013 has wonderful things in store for you and that in even the craziest of times you too will feel blessed.
