So Close

Interesting things seem to happen on Thursdays here.  Last Thursday I was on my morning break and I was flying.  I had a mental list of things I wanted to accomplish in those 10 minutes and I was zipping all over the house.

It was like the old days - I was multi-tasking!!!  

Computer glasses off - regular glasses on

Let the dogs out

Get a cup of coffee going in the Keurig

Empty master bath garbage

Empty hall bath garbage

Take some things to the recycle bin

Empty office garbage

Put towels in the dryer

Let dogs in

Grab coffee

Regular glasses off, computer glasses back on...

And back to work.

Sigh.

I sat at my desk - telling Willow and Belle

 "And that, girls, is how it is done! 

I was so proud of myself!!!

So I started working again and about 1-1/2 hours later  I noticed something unusual on my desk.

This is what I spotted....

Yep - it took me 1-1/2 hours to notice this.


I was working with papers right next to it the whole time.

And my bubble of pride burst with a huge POP

I guess I wasn't multitasking quite as well as I thought.  

 At least I remembered to let the dogs back in.
