Foodie Friday! - Breakfast Pizza

Last weekend Michael was hungry for Breakfast Pizza.  I haven't made this in quite a while and with Jacob and Abigail here it sounded like a good thing to make for Sunday morning.

As I seem to spend less time in the kitchen than I used to, I couldn't miss the opportunity to blog about this recipe!  Michael laughs and says anything that gets baked or cooked is a blog opportunity.  He is right!

Breakfast Pizza

1 lb pork sausage, browned
1 pkg crescent rolls
1 cup frozen loose-packed hash browns, thawed
(I used hash browns with peppers and onions)
1 cup Cheddar cheese
5 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 T. parmesan cheese

Cook sausage until brown, drain off fat.  Place crescent rolls in bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan.  Press rolls into bottom of pain and up sides to form a slight crust,  pinching the perforations together. Spoon hash browns onto crush. Top with browned sausage.

Beat eggs and milk.  Add salt and pepper to your liking.  Stir in cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese.  Pour over the sausage layer.    Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

I doubled the eggs, milk, and cheese when I made it this week, just to give it a little more protein - so that is why it looks a bit more like an egg bake than a typical breakfast pizza.  I love the crescent roll crust in this recipe.  I usually refrigerate overnight and bake in the morning.

Enjoy!

Happy Friday!
