Let's be honest, on Black Friday the last thing we are thinking about is food! If you are like us you were fortunate to sit down to a meal that could have fed twice as many people as were at your table.
And if you aren't too full yet today, you are out shopping (like me). So I decided not to blog a recipe today. My stomach just wasn't up for it.
I had high hopes of getting some gorgeous pictures of our Thanksgiving table all set and ready.
The plates were gorgeous with coordinating goblets.
The cloth napkins were so prettily set on each plate.
And the centerpiece... perfect.
Not too big - you want to see who is sitting across from you and be able to visit.
The only thing missing from this picture is my actually taking a picture of it!
So, instead you get a picture of the aftermath.
Here was our centerpiece
And here's the yummy wine we had - wish I could say Tom and Laura drank it, but it was pretty much Michael and I.
We are far from wine snobs.
An inexpensive bottle of Bare Foot White Zinfandel is all we need!
I don't have a wonderful picture of the table prior to eating
but we had a wonderful day with Tom and Laura
and many things to give thanks for
and THAT is what is really important.
