Blessed & Beyond Giveaway!

Saturday I went uptown to It's All About Me! to update my greeting card inventory.  When I was done and about to leave the store I spotted an item that reminded me of a previous giveaway I did.  I stopped when I realized it was already May and I had not done a spring giveaway yet!

Time has gotten away from me.  I've been a little (read that as a LOT) stressed lately and to use the word "overwhelmed" is an understatement.  I've struggled with feelings of inadequacy BIG time.  Since Michael's surgery I've wanted to complete my to-do list (in addition to his) in a timely manner, and  I've felt I had to do it all yesterday.  I love to-do lists, but to-do lists that are not done with every item nicely crossed off can drive me crazy.

That isn't a very reasonable expectation, especially in light of Michael recovering from back surgery, but no one ever said I had to be reasonable!  I've been told a time or twelve that I'm too hard on myself.  So with that realization in mind I've tried to step back a bit, take a deep breath, prioritize, and realize that what truly needs done will get done.

Part of the process of refocusing involved taking an inventory of my blessings:

 - A husband who is healing and doing awesome in his recovery.

 - Great friends who put our patio set out resulting in much-needed sunshine.

- A dog who has healed following surgery and out of her cone.
(the walls and my shins are grateful)

- Wonderful people praying for us.

- Amazing family and friends who check to  see how things are going.

- The ability to work from home while Michael is healing.

- A church family that leaves us renewed in our faith at every turn.

- And most importantly a gracious God who constantly reminds me He has never once left my side.  Sometimes I need those reminders.

And that's  just the tip of the iceberg.

So with me counting my blessings and regaining my focus on what was truly important, I knew I had a theme for this giveaway:

  1. Though I have sometimes questioned my decisions recently, now I am seeing things fall into place. I have a condo rented, just got signed up for internet, and I have a job to start on June 2, 2014. I know I have had to work for all of these, but the fact that they all came into place at seemingly just the right time has been in the hands of God guiding me the whole way. I have been blessed and more blessings are yet to come.

I always love your blogs Barb. Thank you for them. It causes us all to take time out to ponder our situations.
