Foodie Friday! - Raspberry Muffin Bars

A friend made these for us several years ago and they became an instant favorite!  They are quick, easy, and taste amazing!

Raspberry Muffin Bars

1 box Jiffy raspberry muffin mix
5 T. butter or margarine - softened
1/4 cup quick oats
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 can raspberry pie filling

Mix the above ingredients (except pie filling) until well blended and set aside 1/4 cup of crumbs.  Grease 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pan.  Put mixture in pan.  Press to form crust.  Pour raspberry pie filling on top of crust, (if you prefer a little less filling do not use the whole can - use your own judgment)  - spreading to within 1/2 inch of the edge.  Sprinkle the 1/4 cup reserved crumbs over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 28 minutes or until golden brown.

That's is.  Pretty awesome huh?

You could also do a variation of this with the blueberry muffin mix and blueberry pie filling.

Happy Friday!
