When I blogged about finding the Booyah! Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe (the one that finally worked for me without resulting in flat cookies), I think I commented "good things come to those who clean."
Our guest room has been a mess lately.
Here's what you'll find in there:
My greeting card inventory
The grandkids' Christmas and birthday gifts - a pile for each grandchild
(They were packed away, but we had to pull things out to see exactly where we were with our shopping!)
Things we have listed on the swap site for sale and future things to list
Things to take to Nebraska next time I go.
It had gotten a little crazy in there so today I decided to pack a few things away for Goodwill and make it a bit more organized so it wasn't driving me nuts.
Somehow I found myself in the closet.
Well, not me personally, but I was digging around in there.
I boxed up all the Christmas gifts with a box for each grandchild - labeled them, and stacked them in the closet. So I had to organize and clean the closet to make room for the Christmas boxes.
I found a collapsible scrapbook tote with hanging files and decided to see what I might have that I am not using any longer and could get rid of. Way at the bottom of the tote, under everything else,
I found this:
On our first date Michael brought me daisies. They are my favorite flower and he didn't even know it. The next day he sent me a big bouquet of daisies at work, along with this card.
It made my day. I didn't even know I still had the card. I must have intended to put it in a scrapbook, but forgotten to.
It's such a small thing, but has such a special place in my heart.
