Foodie Friday! - Top 5 Survival List For The D's

My husband, Michael, had back surgery about 10 days ago and is now home recovering.  He will be off work for 7 weeks.  He is unable to bend, twist, or lift, and can only carry items that are the weight of a milk jug or less.   So in addition to working my normal job, my off-work hours are much busier doing what I normally need to do and doing the things he is not currently able to do.

As a result, there's no recipe today, but I thought I would share food-related tips that are getting us through the week.

Another Top 5

5.  An assortment of snacks on the kitchen counter so Michael can easily reach them when I am working.

4.  Celery and carrots cut up and ready to eat in the fridge.

3.   Baked potatoes.  I love that Michael is content to make a meal of these.

2.  Apples: slice and go!

1.  Stouffer's. God bless Stouffer's.  On my lunch break I can have Michael's lunch ready in 7 minutes.

Happy happy happy Friday!
