Another Top 5 List

No, this time I am not going to tell you all the silly things I have done recently - although they do add up fast enough that I probably could do another list like that all too soon.

Today's Top 5 List is things I never thought I would be doing.  Do you ever think to yourself,  "If you had told me 5-10 years  ago that I would be doing this I would have said you were crazy?!"

I have... obviously... :)

So here is my list.

#5
Simply Said Greeting Cards.  I could see myself with a hobby of making cards, but to think that I would be going to businesses and promoting them?  No way!  Simply Said Greeting Cards can now be found at It's All about Me! in Ames, Market 124 in Mason City, Little Sprouts Boutique in Mason, Ohio,  at www.goodsmiths.com/simply-said-greeting-cards, and will soon be available in another shop as well!!

Using my phone to text a lot and check the internet.  Seriously?  I don't even know how this one happened, but I remember when.  Michael and I were sitting in McDonald's and it was as if someone had taken control of me.  I said, "I want to get different phones so I can access the internet."  For people who had to be pushed into texting, this took my husband offguard (and honestly me as well).  He said, "Seriously???"   I was.   And I am so thankful!  When our computer was down a few weeks ago it was a lifesaver!  Okay, not a lifesaver, but a sanity saver!  I never felt I "had" to be connected, but I guess it is time to admit I do.

#3
Facebook.  I know the kids are going to laugh at this one.  We thought we were the last people on earth to get on Facebook, but have since discovered there are a few other holdouts.

And now we are telling others they really need to get on Facebook!

#2
Blogging.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be finding things to say (the idea pool hasn't run out YET), nor did I think I would ever be able to maneuver my way around a blog to get the posts done, design my page, edit and change it up, etc.  But I'm having a blast doing it and I hope you continue to enjoy reading it.

Sorry folks, but this one remains a secret a little longer.

I hope to let you know what it is on Wednesday's blog!!!!

Stay tuned!

  1. Love to see that you are a cardmaker now. My list would include hiking as I never thought I would be able to accomplish this and Cayden and I hiked to the top of Bond Falls in the UP of MI, makes being a grandma fun!
