He Said - She Said

I'm sure you have noticed that you have your own "marriage language."  When your spouse says one thing, but really means another.  I was teasing Michael about this just this weekend, and we had fun coming up with some sayings he has that really mean something different.  Here are some examples:

"I love your spirit Honey"  really means "That's the craziest idea I have ever heard, but I love you anyway."

"Are you hungry?"  really means  "I am hungry."

"What are you going to make for dinner?"  really means "I'm hungry are we eating soon???"

When asked if Michael likes something....

"Ummm...." really means "NO!"

"It's okay" really means "I'm not crazy about it."

"Let's think about it"  really means "I'm NOT going to think about it, it is too expensive!"

"You have such a big heart for animals" really means "We are NOT adopting another basset!"

"I'll do that Honey,"  really means "You are making me feel guilty and later on, if I don't manage to forget about it, I'll do it."

"I'll make dinner" really means "I'll order a pizza."

When shopping, "where are you going to put that?"  really means "We don't have room for that."

We had fun coming up with this list.

What does your spouse say that really means something totally different?
