Hi friends. In case you were wondering if I had disappeared off the face of the earth, I thought I should post something.
In the past my blog schedule was pretty structured with posts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Over the summer I wanted to move to a less structured schedule. I felt I was pushing myself to get something written and going for quantity rather than quality at times. It was really hard for me to give up that routine though - that creature of habit in me struggled with not posting on those days.
Then Belle got sick and we lost her.
We focused attention on getting our connection group started.
We went on vacation.
Work got crazy.
Life just plain happened.
Through all this I suddenly missed blogging on a typical blog day. At first it felt foreign, then it felt okay, and now I know the earth will continue to turn on its axis if I don't post something on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
I checked this morning... and yep, the earth is still rotating nicely.

I still have a good cry over Belle occasionally. I miss those expressive brown eyes and the way she would just sit and look at me quietly. She didn't need to "say" a word, her eyes spoke volumes.
Willow is adjusting to being an only dog. She gave us a bit of a scare when we were on vacation as she was boarding alone for the first time and refused to eat for several days. However, our loving vet staff brought her out to the reception area where she could hang out with the girls and an awesome golden retriever, Comet, and Willow was instantly better! Our vet sent us a picture and if it was possible, Willow was smiling. She loves the attention. We are getting her out and about more, both on the leash and in the car. Belle taught Willow so much in the 2 years they had together. While Willow relied on Belle a lot, now it is time for Willow to gain confidence and independence... and thrive.

Our connection group is amazing. While we have only met for about 5 weeks, we realize God brought our group together for a reason. As always His timing is amazing. We have already had the chance to love and support each other during difficult times. Digging into the Bible and sharing our thoughts on what we find is important, but the most important part of getting together each week is connecting and being there for each other. Some of us are able to sit together during church and it is so wonderful to be able to worship together on Sundays as well as seeking God together on Thursday nights.
So as life continues to ebb and flow I won't have a definite schedule for posting, but I hope you'll stick around to read when I do.
