Sometimes it is the simplest things I learn that make such a difference. While visiting my brother, Steve, and sister-in-law, Pat, she made chicken salad for lunch. I love chicken salad, but this tasted better than any I had ever had before. I could tell she had done something just a bit different but I couldn't put my finger on it, so I had to ask.
The ingredient that made the difference was bottled ranch dressing. You aren't going to find an easier recipe on my blog than this one, and it is so good!
Pat's Chicken Salad
26 ounces canned chicken - broken up with a fork
Equal parts Miracle Whip/mayonnaise and bottled Ranch dressing
Diced onion (optional)
Diced celery (optional)
Pepper
Add diced celery and onion to shredded chicken. Stir to distribute veggies throughout. Add equal parts of Miracle Whip and ranch dressing. Start with about 1/2 cup of each. If it needs more, add a bit more of each. When it is a consistency you like, sprinkle with ground black pepper and stir once again to blend. Chill.

Yep, that's it.
This does not scream RANCH! at all, it just adds a wonderful flavor and takes the chicken salad up a notch. I thought it might be a nice recipe to have in mind for that leftover turkey after Thanksgiving.
I think this is the easiest recipe I have ever posted. Thanks to Pat for sharing this with me.
It's the little things!
Happy Friday!
