Feeture Comfort

After blogging about my affection for blankets, it only seemed fair to give due time to one of my other creature comforts... slippers!!!! 



My love for blankets and slippers is rivaled only by my love for jammies.

Is this a female thing, or a Barb thing?

So I'm sure you are wondering what my slippers look like.



Here they are

(sigh)  Pretty awesome huh?





Don't get too close.





I've had them about 4 years and wear them every day. 




And I do mean EVERY day.




They've gone on weekends away with me. 



They've gone out to the curb to put garbage out.



They've gone on the deck in the winter....




and get worn when hanging out on the deck in the summer. 




They are the first thing I put on in the morning when I get out of bed.




And the last thing that comes off before crawling into bed at night. 

During the winter if I am cold I sometimes have socks plus plush sockettes on when I wear them, so they are stretched out. I have walked out of them when doing stairs.

I have even looked down during our block parties (luckily hosted by us so I haven't gone far)... to find I am still wearing my slippers.  Luckily our neighbors think nothing of it!

I have these new ones ready when these are no longer in good shape (which was probably 2 years ago).




 but I  just don't see the need to switch yet.




So what clothing item do you need to retire, but don't have the heart to?

It is hard to let go of a good slipper.
