We knew we would have a new addition to our family this fall. We have 5 grandchildren and were looking forward to the arrival of grandchild #6. We added "Morris baby" to our Christmas list immediately when we found out he/she was on the way.
On Friday we found out that grandchild #6 has a twin! Tyler and Melissa were thrilled, and I am sure overwhelmed! Big brother Mason will be about 23 months old when they arrive. The logistics of adding two babies to a young family will need to be worked out and it has to be mind boggling to think of what you will need to accomodate 3 children under the age of 2, but it will all come together just fine.
Grandma and Grandpa have a much shorter list to tackle: adding grandchild #7 to the Christmas list and helping out as much as we can. I'm hoping to be able to go help again when the babies arrive, at a time when it will help the most.
The logistics and schedules will get worked out.
The things that need to be done, will get done
Cleaning and housework can take a back seat when needed - they won't be going anywhere
The important thing is taking care of the kids
And just plain loving them.
